WinTaper 1.50 for Windows 3.1 was inadvertantly posted with an incorrect version of CTL3D32.DLL. The bad CTL3D32.DLL is targeted for Windows NT. and results in a warning to this effect each time the program is run. The program will run without this file but will not have the 3D-chiseled look. The file is in the directory c:\windows\system.

Download, unzip and copy into c:\windows\system.
NOTE: You must
exit Windows 3.1x completely to update this file. If for some reason
the old file cannot be deleted (it may have the read-only
attribute set) use the following DOS command line to remove the
write-protect:
attrib c:\windows\system\ctl3d32.dll -r
